Taking the karting world by storm, Alex Palou proved himself a force to be reckoned throughout the grassroots of his career. With 5 Spanish national championships to his name, the spirited young racer clinched the WSK Euro title and CIK-FIA European KF3 vice-championship against fierce competition.
Fresh from his karting success, Alex burst into the single-seater scene in 2014, debuting in the Euroformula Open Championship. Wasting no time in proving his talent, his acute ability to adapt saw Alex claim victory in the season opener at the challenging Nürburgring circuit. Turning heads the young Spaniard further earned 2 more wins, 3 pole positions and 11 podiums in a stellar debut campaign, finishing 3rd in the standings in only his first year behind the wheel of a singleseater.
Graduating to GP3 machinery in 2015, Alex showed his tenacious spirit, racing ability and raw pace, fighting back from a difficult season to claim a dominant victory in the final race in Abu Dhabi. The only Spanish driver ever to claim victory in the history of the championship.
Last year saw the Spanish superstar test his hand in the Japanese F3 series, scoring 3 wins, 5 pole positions and 10 podiums, on his way to third in the championship standings. Closing his season in style, Alex went on to contest in the final 2 rounds of F2, where with supreme skill and adaptability shone through.
With a wealth of F3 experience under his helmet, Alex joins the Hitech GP squad for 2018, ready and raring to tackle the FIA Formula 3 Championship.
